This paper presents some reflections on children’s rights in the context of the academic training of lawyers and educators. Establishing children’s rights as a universally accepted and protected value within international law entails specific obligations regarding education on these rights, as well as their promotion and protection across various aspects of the legal and educational professions. This paper attempts to justify and interpret the concept of children’s rights in the context of the professional training of lawyers and educators. An analysis of educational content relating to the protection and promotion of children’s rights, based on legal sources and an examination of degree programmes and course syllabuses, served as the basis for identifying the interdisciplinary areas of expertise necessary to safeguard these rights within the day-to-day workings of the justice system and the education system.
