Homelessness in the social context is an extremely complex phenomenon that a single universal definition cannot describe, nor can it be solved by a single form of assistance provided to the homeless. Therefore, it is necessary to develop new instruments to help the homeless, which will enable them to leave the state of homelessness by teaching them to live independently or supporting them in their daily functioning. The paper’s subject is the analysis of legal aspects related to social welfare for the homeless through training and assisted housing. A comparison will also be made between the indicated forms of assistance for the homeless and the support provided to them in temporary shelter facilities such as shelters for the homeless, night shelters and heating facilities.
