The paper analyzes the institution of temporary conservation protection of immovable monuments regulated in Article 10a of the Act on the Protection and Care of Monuments in the context of the possibility of undertaking and carrying out construction works. The primary goal of the publication is to determine whether subjecting a monument to temporary conservation protection will constitute an obstacle to the decision to issue a building permit by the architectural and construction authority. The research primarily focused on the substantive scope of the aforementioned provision, as well as the issue of the period for which temporary conservation protection may be established.
