
The author presents the concept of society in terms of civil law theory, explaining the reasons for understanding the adopted concept of “civil law”, as well as the widely used method of interpretation. The author illustrates that the notion of “citizen society” can play a similar role in the Polish law as the concept of civil society law in the German law of civil law, serving to clarify the commonly accepted concept (law theory) and the method of its interpretation. The article reveals that related sciences have a direct impact on the theory of civil law and its basic concepts, while pointing out practical differences in the theory of Polish and German civil law.
