
The paper describes the development of the scientific and didactic career of Professor Stefan Glaser and the formation of his views. Stefan Glaser was a representative of the science of criminal law and criminal procedure in the interwar period, initially employed at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lublin (since 1928, the Catholic University of Lublin), and then, since 1924, at the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of the Stefan Batory University in Vilnius. During his academic career, he covered numerous issues in the field of criminal procedural law. The author of the paper emphasizes that he used in his work the findings of German, Austrian, and French legal doctrine, and legal acts for comparative purposes.
