
The subject of the paper is the essence of the new legal category of data altruism. This issue is regulated by the provisions of the Data Governance Act, which defines the concept of data altruism and the organizational requirements for ensuring data sharing for the public good with altruistic motives. The text attempts to analyze this new regulation in terms of the concept of data altruism itself and its relationship to legal categories such as information rights, the public good, and sustainable development.
