
The subject of this paper is the analysis of fundamental principles of the radiation protection system of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and their implementation in Polish nuclear law. The primary goal of these principles is to protect people and the natural environment against the harmful effects of ionizing radiation. The author characterizes three of ten IAEA
Fundamental Safety Principles[1], namely the principles of justification, optimization, and dose limitation[2] , along with an indication of their substantive content, normative meaning, and the provisions and measures that implement these principles.
