The paper presents an anlysis of international standards regarding the right to housing. In particular, the provisions of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and the European Social Charter/Revised European Social Charter were analysed. The analysis demonstrated that the bodies responsible for monitoring the implementation of these international agreements have established comprehensive and generally consistent standards regarding the right to housing. These include, inter alia, the determination of the adequacy of housing, the issue of the protection of marginalised groups and protection against evictions. It is also imperative to guarantee the availability of suitable procedural safeguards and facilitate access to legal recourse.
