Restrictive Measures of the European Union as a Legal Tool of the Common Foreign and Security Policy. Observations in the Light of Russia’s Aggression Against Ukraine

Abstract

This paper presents a catalogue of restrictive measures adopted by the European Union against the Russian Federation in response to its aggression against Ukraine, considering the full range of sanctions available to the EU. Moreover, it paper identifies the impact of these measures on EU entities, including Member States, and on Russian citizens residing temporarily or permanently in EU countries. However, the paper does not intend to discuss all the specifics of the individual sanction packages introduced by the EU in detail.
